Overview

For years, Nashville has been growing by roughly 100 people every day and has suffered increasing traffic congestion to prove it. Let’s Move Nashville was an ambitious, long-range transportation plan designed to address the city’s growing pains. The plan included light-rail and bus rapid transit as well as frequency and span of service improvements.

Wilmot’s Role

Wilmot evaluated the plan to ensure that the investment would set Davidson County on a path of sustainable growth years into the future. Let’s Move Nashville had numerous triple bottom line benefits including:

Economic development,
Safety,
Public health,
Greenhouse gas emissions,
Traffic, and
Access to jobs, education and fresh food.

An economic impact analysis was also conducted to determine the added value to Davidson County’s economy in terms of jobs and labor income associated with the investment.
