5th & Main
5th & Main is one of Nashville’s first registered LEED high-rise living developments. With a mix of flats, lofts and town homes, paired with restaurants and other shopping, the development offers a new vision for a green city.
Background:
5th & Main was envisioned as part of the new face of East Nashville. Within sight of LP Field and just blocks from the hip bars and restaurants of Five Points, the sleek, modern condo development began construction in 2007 with nearly 120 condo units upstairs and 10 town homes along with restaurant and retail space below. The project was also designed as a showcase for sustainable multi-unit housing.
Results:
One of Wilmot’s specialties is working as the contractor’s representative to attain LEED certification. Wilmot partnered with the 5th & Main team to consult on all facets of the project’s construction. Wilmot also designed the development’s resident recycling program.
Wilmot is one of the few consultants nationally that works with general contractors and takes responsibility for the LEED certification process including documentation, measurement verification, submittals, design reviews, on-site recycling and education.
