Nashville Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency (MDHA) chose LEED as a design model in accordance with goals of the Mayor’s Green Ribbon Committee to achieve sustainability for the city’s residents.

Overview

Rolling Mill Hill, a mixed-use, mixed-income housing development, was constructed with efficiency, high performance, and sustainability in mind. Due to the complexities surrounding LEED Home certifications for 50 units, Wilmot was brought in to streamline the process.

Wilmot’s Role

Wilmot was selected to facilitate design meetings to involve the entire project team in the LEED certification process. Despite the complexity of the task, the entire housing complex was designed according to LEED standards, and one building in Rolling Mill Hill was the first multi-family project in Tennessee to achieve LEED Platinum status.

Results

  • LEED Platinum Certification

  • Savings from energy efficiency
