Warner Music Group engaged Wilmot to help with strategies and metrics to accomplish zero-waste in their operations.

Overview

Warner Music Group’s award-winning environmental campaign, WMGreen, is committed to reducing the organization’s environmental impact worldwide. It has a special focus on supporting sustainability within the Nashville music industry and local community. To streamline their own operation and take a corporate leadership role, Warner made the decision to start by focusing on waste reduction. They contracted with Wilmot to audit their waste and

Wilmot’s Role

In partnership with WMGreen, Wilmot studied Warner’s operations and created a custom zero-waste plan by: 

  • Conduct a waste characterization study to create baseline measurements 

  • Identify reduction strategies for office operations and events 

  • Prioritize strategies based on reduction potential, greenhouse gas emissions, cost and ease of implementation 

  • Develop a timeline to meet the reduction goals, and  

  • Provide recommendations that included periodic audits to monitor progress toward WMN goals 

Warner Music Nashville’s efforts are getting noticed and have inspired offices in New York, Los Angeles, France, Australia, and the UK to improve their sustainability efforts.
